Which standards can your stainless steel tubing meet?
Depending on the tubing type and application, products may be manufactured according to applicable standards such as ASTM A269, ASTM A213, ASTM A249, and EN 10216-5.
If your project requires a specific ASTM, ASME, EN, or customer-defined specification, include it with your RFQ so our technical team can confirm compliance before quotation.

Seamless & Welded Coiled Tubing
What is the difference between seamless and welded coiled tubing?
Seamless coiled tubing has no longitudinal weld seam and is often selected for demanding pressure, instrumentation, hydraulic control, chemical injection, and critical fluid applications.
Welded coiled tubing is produced from formed and longitudinally welded strip and can offer a cost-effective solution for instrumentation, process equipment, heat-transfer, and general industrial applications.
The correct choice depends on pressure, temperature, media, tube size, applicable standard, and service conditions.
Is seamless tubing stronger than welded tubing?
Not necessarily in every application.
Pressure capability and mechanical performance depend on the material grade, outside diameter, wall thickness, manufacturing process, heat treatment, applicable specification, and service conditions.
Seamless tubing is commonly preferred where the absence of a longitudinal weld seam is important, while properly manufactured and tested welded tubing is suitable for many industrial applications.
How do I choose between seamless and welded coiled tubing?
Select the tubing type based on your application requirements.
Provide your tube OD, wall thickness, material grade, operating pressure, temperature, fluid or media, continuous length, and applicable standard. Our team can review these requirements and evaluate the appropriate tubing option.
What continuous coil lengths are available?
Maximum continuous length depends on the tube diameter, wall thickness, material, manufacturing process, and coil configuration.
Both seamless and welded stainless steel tubing can be supplied in long continuous lengths to help reduce fittings, connection points, installation time, and potential leak locations.
Review our seamless and welded coiled tubing specifications and send us your required coil length for project-specific confirmation.
Can stainless steel coiled tubing be supplied in custom lengths?
Yes.
Continuous coil length can be customized within the manufacturing limits of the requested tubing size and specification.
For quotation, provide the required OD × wall thickness × material grade × continuous length × quantity.

Our fabrication capabilities include CNC tube bending, coil forming, multi-bend geometries, tube end forming, welding, joining, heat exchanger coils, and OEM tube assemblies.
What custom tube bending services do you offer?
We support precision tube bending for stainless steel tubing and fabricated OEM components.
Depending on the project, manufacturing may include CNC bending, U-bends, multi-bend configurations, spiral coils, serpentine coils, and other custom geometries.
Bend radius, tube OD, wall thickness, material, tolerances, and quantity should be included with your drawing for technical review.
Can you manufacture heat exchanger coils?
Yes.
Custom heat exchanger coils can be manufactured according to customer drawings, dimensional requirements, tubing specifications, connection details, and operating conditions.
Typical applications include heat-transfer equipment, water heating, cooling systems, beverage equipment, HVAC, and industrial machinery.
Can you produce prototypes before volume production?
Yes, prototype and small-batch projects can be evaluated.
Prototype production allows customers to verify dimensions, fit, assembly, geometry, and application requirements before moving into repeat OEM production.
Production feasibility and prototype quantity depend on the complexity of the component and material requirements.
Can you supply complete OEM tube assemblies?
Yes.
Depending on the drawing and project scope, JW can provide bent tubing, formed components, welded joints, fittings, coils, and assembled tubing components.
This allows customers to source a more complete, ready-to-install component instead of purchasing raw tubing and arranging multiple fabrication processes separately.

Coated & Insulated Tubing
Do you supply PVC-coated stainless steel tubing?
Yes.
PVC-coated stainless steel tubing is available for applications requiring additional surface protection, abrasion resistance, weather protection, or color identification.
Coating color, thickness, tubing size, material grade, and continuous length can be reviewed according to project requirements.
What is pre-insulated tubing used for?
Pre-insulated tubing is designed to help reduce unwanted heat transfer and maintain process temperatures.
Typical applications include heated-fluid lines, process systems, temperature-maintenance systems, HVAC, industrial utilities, and OEM equipment.
Insulation material, thickness, tubing dimensions, and operating temperature should be confirmed for each application.

Quality, Testing & Documentation
What testing is available for stainless steel tubing?
Testing depends on the applicable specification and customer requirements.
Depending on the product, inspection may include dimensional inspection, surface inspection, hydrostatic testing, air-pressure testing, eddy-current testing, mechanical-property testing, chemical-composition verification, and other project-specific inspection requirements.
Mandatory tests should be identified before quotation.
Can you provide a Mill Test Report or MTR?
Yes, material documentation can be provided for applicable products and orders.
If your project requires an MTR, material certificate, EN 10204 certificate, heat-number traceability, inspection report, or pressure-test report, state the documentation requirements in your RFQ.
This ensures the required documentation is confirmed before production.
Is material traceability available?
Material heat-number traceability can be arranged according to project requirements.
For OEM, pressure-related, or critical-service applications requiring full traceability, specify the traceability and documentation requirements before ordering.
Can you arrange third-party inspection?
Yes.
Third-party inspection can be coordinated when required. The inspection agency, scope, hold points, required documentation, and associated costs should be agreed before production begins.
